I was searching for some new clouds and skies to install on the FSX and found that there is something coming out shortly that might interest others:-

Not available yet, but the preview shots look very impressive, so I will be waiting for this one.

Smooth landings!!!

The screenshots look very promising, wonder what effect it will have on performance though?

In my opinion Active Sky X (and X Graphics, because you should probably get them both) is a darn sight better than the default weather. The only problem with Active Sky is that it's best used in it's real-weather mode (real-time weather), which is fine if you're an all-weather pilot. If you've got X Graphics though, you don't have to run Active Sky all the time (just for when you want that truly authentic flight), and can stick to the FSX weather themes or user-defined weather and the sky/cloud graphics in X Graphics are still heaps better than the default. This Real Environment looks very similar to Active Sky, perhaps just a touch better.
That's what I reckon.

Wow! Looks intense. When I get FSX I now have to descide on ASX or REX :/ AS6 has always been a reliable friend for me.
