The entry for those to show up have to be entered in the fsx DLL text file with notepad once the SDK in fully installed or they wont show on the main menu bar ,the pathway is usally the bit that makes it go wrong .
this is where you find the file C:\Users\YOUR USER \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX for win7 and vista and you will need hidden folders turned off which is found in the control menu of your system under folder options .

Not really ,its normally for me the path that has something missing like a extra Microsoft part to the string ,though you mite need to change the true partof the dll to false which turns on the tools ,if they set as true in the dll they will not show up in the menu

<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Object Placement Tool</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\object_placement.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Traffic Toolbox</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Traffic Toolbox SDK\traffictoolbox.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>Visual Effects Tool</Name>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
<Path>C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Special Effects SDK\visualfxtool.dll</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
<Launch.Addon>

see if that does it .. thumbup1.gif
