Hi there all, I love learning the whole start-up sequence but am a little tired of stopping and saving the craft each time I go for a fly. Does anyone know if there is a program that allows us to automatically launch a cold start if we wish?

Cheers

Because I use a home cockpit I have to start from a 'cold and dark' aircraft state otherwise the switches get out of sync with the sim - so for me its really important to follow a start up and shutdown sequence every time.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for so you might have to clarify - do you want to be able to always have the sim start in the cold and dark state?? If thats the case its simple - start the sim and shutdown the aircraft, remembering to retard the throttle, prop and mixture levers (If they apply), turn off the avionics and master switches. Now save the flight as the default flight and whenever you start the sim the cockpit will be cold and dark!! From then on, whenever you create a free-flight and choose a different aircraft/location etc that aircraft will also be loaded in the cold and dark state!! Of course if you want to quickly fire up the sim then just hit Ctrl-E and the big noisy fans will start turning.

I hope this is what you were after,
Regards,
Mat

Brilliant! Thanks for that. After many many years of flight simming, it never occurred to me to do that.
