FSX Camera Views

A forum specifically to discuss the latest and greatest of all flight simulators

Hey there, first time on these forums! (What a great community you've got here very nice)

So, i uninstalled and completely reinstalled my FSX today. When I went into Free Flight mode, i tried to switch between camera views. Normally you would get everything, Cockpit/Outside/Aircraft/Tower ... etc. But I only get the 2D cockpit and Aircraft view ( left side window, right side window, left wing, right wing, tail, landing gear..). Im missing the entire "outside" camera view which has the "locked spot view"/ fly-by/ and tower views...etc.

Could anyone explain why my FSX has decided to do this? I mean it was working fine before I uninstalled it, i had all the views.. Could it have to do with me not completing the tutorial missions or something?

Please could someone help me here!! Your help would be much appreciated!

Thanks alot for your time.

I assume you are talking about the 'S' key -- the cockpit views are cycled with the 'A' key.
Maybe your 'S' key has been reassigned? Do you get all the view options when you right click the screen?

My FSX only seems to only remember the last 4 views. I just remember that F9 is virtual cockpit, F11 is spot view, and F12 top down.

Sorry for late reply guys. Well this is what happens, i right click, and i only get the "aircraft" views (ie: left side window view right side window, tail, right wing and left wing) and the cockpit view: Only 2D cockpit.

Ive lost the tower views and the outside views ( locked spot views)

Any idea why?

So, unfortunately no, i dont get all the views. Weird..

Even when i press F10/F11/F12 the views dont come up, even if they are already assigned to that key

Nope. Thats a default 747 with a repaint. And i get these camera views for all planes

Any way i could manually add the missing views? And would a reinstall help?

Looks like an uninstall did the job, got all those camera views back!
Sorry for all the hassle.
