Hi guys and gals,

I am returning to flight simming after some time away. And am after any pointers that will help me get up and running as well as I can. I am running DCS Black Shark and A-10C okay and am now setting up FSX.

So, here is my hardware:

HP Laptop (Yes, laptop at the moment, hopefully a new desktop later this year)
Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.13 GHz
4GB Ram
Win 7 Premium (32 bit)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 ( 1 GB)

TrackIR 5
Saitek X-45 (I know it is old but it was free from a mate when he upgraded.... cant beat that price !)

And for FSX I have:

FSX
Acceleration

I have just purchased from Godzone:

The FSX Collection and Supercity Auckland

I am about to install the godzone stuff.

Do I need new mesh? VLC maybe?

Any other must haves or must do's ??
Regards,

Craig (Aka 'Matlo')

Thanks Ian,
That will be my next purchase for FSX then. Topo and Landclass all in one! Does it play nice with the Godzone packages? Or did I hear there is a patch ?

Jeez, didn't know I had been away for that long. I haven't been at the airport for ages. Working for the last 3 and a bit years out at Burnham...
Still got my house in Kaiapoi (rental now, got hammered in the first earthquake, but only a little damage after the last one).

Living in Belfast and this place was pretty unscathed actually (very very lucky..).

how did you fair in the quakes??
