Iv'e just added the Acceleration pack.
Since then there is no spray when I land a float plane.
All settings are default.
Have tryed with water effects set to max, no different.
I have added some area scenery enhancements but not in the area I am flying.
I have just landed on benmore.
I have a resonably high spec system & have no frame rate problems.

Are you flying in a default aircraft? Effects are particular to the aircraft cfg file- Its possible that an addon a/c is (or was) referencing a effect file that is no longer there...

Yes it was the default Beaver but I changed to the Goose & it was the same.

Regarding this problem.
I have added some other downloaded aicraft.
Could one of the cfg files have altered the water effects?
If so can I repair it or do I have to start again?

The main sim cfg file will be rebuilt if its deleted so try making a copy of that somewhere else (as back up) and then deleting it and restarting the sim- See if that cures the problem. If so, go back to your copy and look for any obvious differences in the part relating to effects.

An change to your aircraft cfg is most a possible answer but I would have thought this wouldnt have been changed by the installation of addon aircraft.
The other thing to check is that the fx files havent been renamed or deleted- looking at the aircraft.cfg for the beaver, it references two effect files for touching on the water: fx_wake and fx_spray so check you have these in the Effects folder.

Thanks for your reply.
I hid the Beavers main sim cfg file & started the sim but it said there was indeed a file missing & loaded the Cessner instead of the Beaver, which then sank sadly into Lake Benmore.
Have checked the cfg file & it does contain the items you mention.

[EFFECTS]
wake=fx_wake
water=fx_spray
dirt=fx_tchdrt
concrete=fx_sparks
touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1

You mention that these items should be in the "effect folder"
Not sure what you mean by that.

Seems to be sorted now. After unhiding the cfg file all is as it should be, strange.
Have checked all the other float planes & they all have wake now so all is well.
Your solution did work somehow. Thank you.
