Yeah I'm in the same boat as my old PC would only be able to play that at its lowest setting.

Lets hope mods are easily portable, such as the NZDF mod

,downside is you have to do a upgrade to your computer in most instances to run Arma2.

Well Ive just bought some new hardware (quadcore, 4GB ram, sataII HDD) so hopefully it will have enough grunt for both FSX and ARMA II

Operation flashpoint 2 'looks' slightly better but ARMA II definitely will be the better game I think.

Well the game is out now in most markets (still a week or so wait here- I've pre ordered) so there are a few vids popping up on youtube.

Here is one simply flying around.....drool. Wouldn't it be great if FS looked this good. Proper trees. Proper shadows.....mmmm

Arma2 is like a different game from arma1 and even runs smoother lol, You have ambient life as well by placing down game logic points in missions and u got a thriving town and also wildlife in the area, you also have modules for the uav predator,artillery etc. Only issue im worried about is porting of mods such as NZDF mod and ADF mod.
I will try get some screenshots and videos up for you guys to see how awesome this game is

IMO ACEmod, Evo, Dom and warfare mods would rock on Arma2 so long as ACEmod has better fitness for its characters.

There is no need for ace in arma2 buddy, its core missions are much similar to warfare and seems to be based off it i would think. Evo,Domination and even warfare are only good for bf2 style of gameplay when its the custom optimised squad missions that make for the real good fufilling type of combat gameplay imo. Also arma2 seems to run hard on your comp if you have shadows on but even at normal graffics arma2 looks stunning.

I've heard some good feedback on Arma2 like the Trakir 5 works really good with it and the game now has multicontroller support for Hotas and pedals.

I should probs check if my throttle works in arma2 now lol. We have a version of evo for the nzarma server up now for mostly anyone who has arma2
