Oleg Maddox, the legendary creator of IL-2 Sturmovik, is close to releasing Storm of War : Battle of Britain.

One thing that has impressed me about Oleg is what he gives to the sim and the community, participating in forums, taking player's suggestions into consideration when updating the game, and making himself available to the media. He is not a faceless corporation that some gaming houses unfortunately have been or turned into (EA for example ... BF2 anyone?)

Anyway, here are some links to screenshots and comments by Oleg that I believe are worth a look at. This would seem to be one to wait for!

BF109 Screenies and comments

Discussion with Oleg about what's next, with interesting ground textures and weather topics

Further discussion - including talk of acrobatic planes

I like the wind gusting effects I heard this sim is supposed to feature and the dynamic weather.
