Aerofly FS2 'autogen'

Postby toprob » Tue Oct 10, 2017 2:34 pm

This sim is steadily improving, and now the autogen tool I use for FSX/P3D -- Scenproc -- supports it. Still a long way to go, but it is getting there!
We just need more tree types, and a way to tidy up what Scenproc produces from data files, something like the FS Annotator. But AFS2's trees are showing promise, they are rock-solid, unlike the jittery things we are used to, and they don't 'pop' into view as you fly around.

Looking good Rob. Although I have 'pre-purchased' P3Dv4 (I have no sim right now, remember?), I have held off buying Aerofly FS2 at this time while it develops. It will be interesting to see where this is around beginning of April 2018 which is when I am likely to put my sim back together ... of course, by then, with my typical over-budget build, I may not be able to afford it in any case! (which is why I bought P3Dv4 while I could!)

Good to see this!
Each feature implemented in AFS2 is 1 on 1 best in class I reckon.
Was there a little microstutter at around 1:10?
Be interesting to see how the sim behaves as the feature list grows...

EDIT:
Some more on the topic here
