I downloaded this the other night and bought the A-10 (which looks amazing) .... but i cant figure out how to take a screenshot. :(
This sim is vast ..... the number of commands is stunning ,it lends itself to some great shots .... but how

Im off to buy the hawk and maybe the Flanker .....

It seems you use PrtScn, but it throws them to a DCS folder for storage. This link might help. Other than that , I know nozzing

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Print Screen is the button and the screenshots are in normally:
C:/user/name/saved games/DCS/screenshots

Some hints at taking good screenshots you can in single player hit pause at any time and from there use the external view keys anything is possible for angles you can also record the flight as a track and play it back in the event that something cool happened and same can be done for making videos. :plane:

Nevada is a very detailed terrain but still in Beta, if you can tolerate a few bugs then it would be worth getting. I'm planning on getting it sometime next year. B-)

It will integrate. It will give you, from memory, the F15, A10A, -29, -27/33, SU25. I think you've already got the Russians birds though looking at your screenshot thread? If so then it might not be worth it to you.

Flaming Cliffs will integrate straight into DCS so long as you get the version for DCS if you buy the earlier version 1 or 2 then you will still need FC3 so just buy FC3 and you should have no problems. The aircraft do not have clickable pits but in both SP and MP they are fun to fly. The SU25/T, A-10A, SU27 and F-15C all have the PFM flight model which is as close to flying a real one as you can get. (Mig29A/C and SU33 may get PFM at some point)

SUBS .... more questions ...sorry in advance.

Is it possible to select a specific skin (paint) for an aircraft without going into a full campaign ? the reason i ask is , i got a great Vietnam era paint for the Huey , it installed ok (Bazzar/ liveries ) etc ... but i cant seem to get it to show up anywhere.
I mainly go for the instant action or quick mission options , but even by selecting USA as the origin(aircraft) , i get random models and paints.
Would be nice to be able to select ... for example "Huey 60's paint with door gunners"

Anyway , Ive updated to 1.5 , and downloaded the Alpha 2.0 along with the Nevada addon (more money ^_^ ) , Ive yet to try it out .
Still cant comment on the Mirage as Im having problems with the install ... may have to contact DCS for a fix , too much money to just let it go.

But overall , this is a great ... and vast sim. There are endless possibility's for an old screen shooter , even if i dont actually shoot anything B-)

Thanks again for all your help , your a good man.

Subs doesn't seem to be around so I'll take this one. If you create a fast mission, after it's been generated you can go to "edit" (IIRC) and it will take you to the mission editor. If you make sure your aircraft is selected, you can change the skin with a drop down box you can find on the right hand side. I can do screenies if you need it.

You can in some missions alter your skin by selecting mission planner when the mission loads up and change the selected skin. As for where to find some skins it depends on the country the skin is for, some countries can be in one of the folders(forgotten which one) and can show up available for any country. You can also edit the mission just simply open it up and edit the skin for the aircraft and save it under a different name. Don't save it under the default missions because some updates might have a problem with it as it doesn't match the original. :plane:

Its been a hard road for an old fart to get my head around a sim that has every key mapped THREE TIMES ! (left alt, right alt+)
But Im loving it , i may have said this before , but if the DCS people get together with Lockheed Martin ...FSX becomes as interesting as a board game.
Just my humble opinion ..... i know it would defeat the purpose , but can you imagine some good quality Civil software "flying "in that environment ?
And if not civil ... CaptainSim would shine in there, as Razbam is doing ..... and so could Aerosoft , and M2M , and A2A ...... maybe.

As i said , just my humble opinion :)
