Hello fella's and fellis'

I and another great Mate are embarking on the development of a DCS Squadron.

The Squadron Is based for people around the same time zone. So Nz/Aus time zones.

Currently we will be flying the WW2 stuff a lot. But we are going to expand.

We are going to take ww2 very serious. In a goal to punch above our weight. smile.gif

But other areas such as helicopters and jets will be taken less seriously..

So if you play DCS and want to connect to some fellow Kiwis and Aussies and have some fun PM me.
Cheers
Elijah

Yes I would be keen. I was thinking of starting either a PLAAF or EGAF themed squadron when the MIG21 comes out so I suppose we could pool resources? The WW2 stuff doesn't appeal to me, personally.

Yea, i will have to talk it over with the other head... But would be awesome to have a serious Mig-21 driver round.....

I am currently in talks for a permanent Team Speak Channel inside of a Kiwi clan for the world of tank series.........

I completely understand that... Heli stuff didnt appeal to me until i got the Huey.....

In the next few weeks.... we will have a teamspeak home and a Emblem and hopefully a Website......

WWII ... the era rocks!

Hey you DCS operators .. If you buy one aircraft the P-51 for example, when you go into MP combat , dose the your emery who maybe be flying the ME109 ... is it required to also own that model the same as MSFS or dose the program have a default bad guy plane ?

That's a bonus then, one other question should thought asking , can you paint the aircraft .. put your own emblem on and such

You certainly can. Most/all (not sure on all) come with a paintkit or can be repainted if need be. Not sure if they'll show up in multi without the other person having that repaint- I suspect not.

There is always a place for new kiwi members in the squadron. Just bare in mind we have not officaly launched yet, so the website is not up. although we did create a server last night. And tonight is the first official gathering of ww2 aircraft.

Yea you will have a Tf-51d for free ZK-Mat so you can begin flying that. We have a facebook page now... still WIP but all is coming along.

Cheers, will look at the FB page. I am incredibly green to DCS, fired it up today and spent an hour training but it's all new to me.

If you make your own paint scheme then email it to the other squadron members and they'll be able to see it when you use it. You can change your aircrafts skin in the mission planner prior to launching the mission. And you can paint the pilot as well as place a name for your pilot under the canopy.

Placing my mug into a combat game and have my name in there with sounds cool!

Hi guys - the last post here was a little while ago; have you kept flying regularly?

A friend of mine and I just started flying DCS last week. We are learning the ropes and studying the map of Georgia with the Su-25T to begin with, then moving on to other craft.

We are quite green at present but if you have a regular flying night, perhaps we could join in sometime?

We haven't practiced the WWII planes yet, but we could program our joysticks for the Mustangs and join in after a little bit of training if you guys tend to only fly the WWII stuff.

I only have the freebie Mustang but my friend has the armed one. I don't mind coming along despite no guns though, that would still be fun.
