I've been "playing" TS2014 for some time now and I have to say it's not bad at all. Especially the steam engines - they're rather tricky to operate properly.
The environment is pretty nice too with the changing weather, nice textures and that thing we're all missing from FSX: raindrop effects on the windshield (pretty nice ones too). Of course you have your train-geeks complaining about how realistic it is but hey, it's the same with all sims right?

Had my Dad still be alive ... It would have really suited him, a real train buff he was, course in comes his son in a P-47

For sure , nothing like dragging a 30+ wagon , mixed freight up and over a mountain pass . You soon learn about power management . Last thing you want is have to that thing run out of go, and start rolling back ... or worse , to fast on the decline .... gets messy
Ive also a ship sim (a couple) , and as slow it can be , its very immersive , and needs a whole new skill set to do it right .

Perhaps they'll impliment the fsx style resample method of getting imagery into the Sim.

I couldn't imagine you with a ship sim a speedboat or fast flyingboat sim yes but a ship sim nah! ships are much slower than your General Aviation aircraft and as I see it anything slow is not in Ian's hanger

Speaking of that, is anyone keen to do a AC MP? Keep hearing how fun they are...
