Far cry from the original "Tomahawk" off almost 30 years back .

Tomahawk was a fun sim the only issue was the copy protection which had a lens and codes.

Crazy some of the funny protection tools they used, not to mention the see through hills

It was state of the art vector graphics at the time, prior to that sims involved 2d sprites which were not as good as 3d objects. Wire frames led to textured 3d models which is what we have today.
