For the Amstrad I used to fly Tomahawk which had an advanced password protection where you needed a special lens to decypher the code.

Longbow2 was much better in MP you could have one guy fly as gunner while you were pilot although it sucked if your opponent found your spawn point as they could just frag you with the 30mm each time you spawned. The campaign was good I beat all of LB and LB2s campaigns and missions and back then with my trusty Thrustmaster WCS, FCS and rudder pedals for LB1. For LB2 was when I got a Thrustmaster Block 50 FLCS and TQS and used that for flying along with my rudder pedals.

People still fly LB2

More than just that up to then all graphics were sprites this sim introduced 3d vector graphics, aside Elite it was one of the few that featured vector graphics.
