Hello everyone, we're excited to announce a new project in development - Take On Helicopters.
The brand new helicopter game from Bohemia Interactive. Take On Helicopters immerses players within beautifully rich landscapes and an authentic flight model.
Harry Larkin's aviation business has fallen on tough times. Built up over decades, it's now only days away from closure. His sons face an uncertain future, struggling to save the company their father spent his whole life building. Together, they must take on contracts and competitors; together, they take on helicopters!
High fidelity flight dynamics modelling
Richly modelled helicopters & cockpits
Expansive & detailed environments
Powerful & intuitive mission editor
Multiplayer in co-op & competitive scenarios
Take your first steps towards mastering rotor-wing flight across a massive range of enjoyable challenges, or create your own missions using the powerful easy-to-use mission editor.
Take to the air above two beautifully rich and expansive environments, based upon real-world North American and South Asian terrain-data.
Take on cutting-edge technology, helicopters modelled in stunning detail, a large-scale, open-world sandbox and authentic flight dynamics...

Would like to see the city scape , guess would have to wait for more trailers .
As a concept it sounds awesome! I'm a big fan of Bohemias previous releases and have often thought how cool it would be to able to fly over, say, an Arma2 Environment but with proper flight dynamics. I'll watch this with interest.
Great looking graphics...odd looking Hughes/MD 500 though
There has been a couple more vids added to there Youtube page, the best been the trailer shown at the recent E3 gaming expo with a couple of bonus teasers.
I did not even blink a wink with that one , possible a pre-model post , we really did not see much off anything new .
very strange, horizontal stabs like a bell, skids like an EC.
can someone enlighten me what this game is all about? Never seen it before

I asked a similar question over at hovercontrol and believe or not they are not aloud too reproduce the MD500 or Bell because of copy write issues, hence the location of the horizontal stabs on the tail boom and the EC looking skids and the strange looking Bell 412.
Apart from that the game has potential, look forward to its release and subsequent reviews to see if its worth buying.

You would be surprised... one developer got sued for modeling aircraft from WWII... might have been the developers of IL2, if I remember correctly.

I agree doesn't make any sence at all, a MD500 just isn't a MD500 with out all the bits in the right place, be like Pamela Anderson not have all her bits in the right place Haha

There'll be open beta for TOH in a week or so for those who have Operation Arrowhead.

Yuss!
Lets hope you can or allowed post some screens here and show us all a better description in showing detail .
Bohemia have made a few really good games like arma 2 (there is quite a bit of aviation in it). but this one could go 50/50 i think.

A combat sim maker , be damn interesting to see how they go with a civvy sim
Their missions are quite awesome in OA so it will be immersive and entertaining. Sim includes a walk around and devs mentioned checking for birds nests. I'm hoping it will be compatible with OA in MP as it would be cool to use both combined or even Arma3.
