Ok, so I know there are some people out there playing RoF, I've had it for a while, just now getting back into it again, thanks to a new (old, but capable) gfx card...

So, just thought I'd share a couple of screenies with everyone...

Inbound to land in my Spad XIII, checking out the view...

...and the other direction...

Finally, heres how the local birdlife saw it...

Very nice screenies! Thanks for sharing. How are you finding ROF? Some colleagues have it and there were some teething problems, but ok now?

Those first two shots are amazing. How do they get their textures to look so good?! I wish FSX could emulate that.

Actually, thats with texture processing set at its lowest level too...high res, but only Bilinear filtering...I can set all the options all the way up, but the game chugs when you get too many planes in the air, or you fly over the front/no mans land....

Also, I've only been playing single player, so no idea how the additional network traffic from multiplayer would impact on the game performance

Great Screens Mark cool.gif

2fst4u , You have to remember as with most combat sims they cover a small area of the world , a battlefield at , 130 mph MAX , these planes could only do in a dive , the restrictions in speed you will notice preformance in FSX , the big thing is the engine driver between the both programs .

I have my Bro nudging me to get this for some on to on , 'man' is he in for a shock smile.gif

Mark , we will have to try this out

Yep, sure is! It's particularly realistic though, so be prepared for a)a bit of a learning curve getting used to the performance of the planes, and b) you system to be brought to it's knees. Seriously, I've got a reasonable machine now, good enough to run FSX at anywhere from 25-50fps with EVERYTHING maxxed out, and if I fly RoF over no-mans land with 6 or 7 other planes in max detail, it becomes a slideshow.
