Be worth a try to test this theory in FSX in a multiplay ... we all have the A-10 and some have the Aerosoft F-16 .. now that would be fun smile.gif

The Spiral dive is a defensive manouver used in particular a scissors type situation where both aircraft are trying to get behind each other, in this case the A-10C is trying to remain out of plane with the aggressor and so keeping speed/energy up while descending at a rapid rate to the weeds where its safer. Against an aircraft like the F-16 all the F-16 has to do is barrel roll to gain space to get behind you but this can also be used for other things such as a Tactiacl approach if you've ever tried that mission in the Lear jet in FSX. In FSX your flight models are not as realistic as DCS A-10C so it will be quite different to what you see in that video.
