I started the process when it was announced but then it recommended the Nth American server just as I started...I don't know if that was just an automated message or it actually compared the latency between the two.

Are you in Aussie Timbo? That may make a difference compared to NZ.

Yeah am in regional NSW, my pings were 250-300, now its 120-140, and player numbers are around 7/8k and more in east coast AU primetime which is great (and they are all noobs lol)

DL the SEA 8.0 WOT client (Gamearena.com has it) and give it a try before you make any choices, check this thread for other NZ'ers responses http://forum.worldoftanks-sea.com/index.ph...ed/page__st__40 , I am sure they will offer migration again at some point,

That message is a bug apparently, shortly all people joining from AU/NZ will be directed to the SEA server by default

btw 8.0 is so much fun, with the physics introduced, able to push people off cliffs now and other naughty things

Yeah I'm liking it too- Especially in small/light tanks- It has changed the dynamics of a lot of the maps (i.e. different hiding spots, the ability to take 'short cuts' down a cliff)

Because I'm a shift worker the NA server probably works best for my gaming - but I changed anyway and am slowly getting over it wink.gif I saw no change to my ping being based here in NZ. There seem to be more noobs about now on the SEA server and I'm getting good kills again. I'm loving v8.0 too!!

There is just nothing like killing your foe by landing your tank on top of them, then following it up with a quick teabagging to show you care before racing off to find new victims
