Yeah its the latest they've certainly done well so far and its good to see the IFF has the correct modes its just a question on if it works.

Its a legacy Hornet and as IRL the missile either gets you or misses.

They really do not have the fuel or turning to chase em around the sky like Hollywood dose ..... laugh.gif

If a missile misses the first pass its proximity detonator goes off if its close enough. IRL modern SAMs are very difficult to evade your only chance is probably a combination of ECM and towed decoys which the SH carrys.

Don't forget in the real world man will always beat machine in war - as long as he could see it , as the USN's Randy Cunningham said , the missile that shot him down was the one he did not see , he was the guy who with his exploits started or got the ball running for TOP-GUN .
