With FSX soon to be released, I am left wondering whether or not RBE will produce any more FS9 addons after Novemeber 2006?

I know Christian now works with Koorby from VOZ making VOZPRO but would like to know if we will be seeing any more excellent packages for good old fs2004 in the future?

To be honest, pretty much all developers I'm in contact with at the moment don't really have an answer to this question. You've seen the FSX demo and you can draw your own conclusions from it. We still have to see if FSX can actually run well on average systems, I wouldn't be surprised if a good number of users prefer their current FS2004 setup. But until FSX is released no one has any idea what market share it will grab. To make things worse, a number of scenery elements have changed considerably in FSX, so it won't work to make scenery for FSX, apply a few changes and it'll work for FS2004. It looks like scenery for FSX and FS2004 have to be built from ground up seperately.

However, these are just details for us developers and RBE's aim is to get the best scenery out there and make everyones flight simming experience a great one. In short, there will probably be a short transition period after FSX is released and we'll all be a bit smarter afterwards. There will be some great scenery coming in the future, and current plans are to offer versions for FS2004 if this is pratical.

Cheers,
Christian
