I were in New Zealand 3 years ago and is really impressed by the country.

Well here is my question.

I've just bought the great  Topo mesh. and downloaded the 75m mesh. Everything looks great and have given my NZ flights a new dimension, but then I get to Milford Sound.

The mountains around the water is terrible looking. They raises almost from the water-edge to the top. I also have some plateaus left of the airport (no scenery installed for the airport, maybe a AFCAD but nothing "big").

If you want, I can post a picture of the problem.

Oh... I forgot to say, that I use FS9.

Hi Johan

Thanks for buying the scenery and greetings to Denmark :)

I'm wondering, if you have an old SRTM mesh installed. That would indeed look terrible. It's possible that the SRTM mesh overrides my 75m mesh (you did get the one from geographx, right?), so you really need to get rid of it.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers,
Christian

Hey Christian.

I'll check when I come home from work. And yes. It's the mesh from geographx I'm using.

I'll let you know what I found out.

Well...

Have tried just to use the mesh and topo (incl. the additional landclass files). Nothing else. Have tried to put all my NZ scenery "out-of-function" including all airports and photoscenery. But still the problem.

Here is a picture showing what I mean:

Oh.. I forgot to say, that I also have the FSGlobal 2005 installed, but in a lower prority then the 75m geographx mesh.

One more update.

Tried to set the 75mesh as second priority in my scenery.cfg, and that solved the problem. I don't know where the problem might have been, but now, I'll keep the 75 mesh in front.

FSGlobal 2005 would indeed cause this problem, as it includes an SRTM mesh for NZ, which as you found out yourself is pretty bugged.

Mesh priority is a black art and doesn't work necessarily as you think it should. I'm glad that you sorted it out though.
