Hi,

I have just bought and installed NZ Scenery Combo on FS9 and FSX.

I couldn't find the FS9 patch on the Microsoft website. I did edit the cfg file as instructed and the new terrain mesh is working. Am I getting the most out of it without the patch?

I really bought the product for FSX and scecifically to fix Milford Sound, an area I am very familiar with. The terrain around milford looks amazing, but the ground the airport is on is still at an elevation of 800ft. The runway is at sealevel because I have installed Milford X. How can I get rid of this anomally?

Finally, I really like the Quentin Strip (I have a small project of my own recreating scenery around Fiordland from old topo maps (and from memory) and I have marked out some old airstrips with large rocks) I have read somewhere that there is a database for the airstrips you have added to the scenery but I cannot remember how to find it.

Cheers

P.S. Fooled around with it a bit more and have resolved the Milford Sound problem, works well and looks good!!!

Hi - glad you fixed it in the meantime.

As for Quintin - fly into the valley that joins the runway at the middle. You know you got the right valley if there's a long lake at the beginning (lake ada). Follow the river all the way to the end until you hit a 'brick wall'. The strip is to the left behind a rock (you'll have to swerve around that during your approach). Alternatively just look at google maps.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Christian

I assume it was a flatten that you had not installed correctly?? if the runway was at sea-level it sounds like the ARP (Airport Reference Point) file was installed OK... but the flatten to remove the 'molehill' was missing.

cheers,

I reentered the scenery on the directory and I changed the priority around as well I think
