indistinct main roads Marlborough FSX

Firstly I would just like to say what a great scenery series this is for both FS9 and FSX.

I was wondering whether it is just a problem with me, but the main roads around Woodbourne and Blenheim, and other places as well, are a lot clearer defined in FS9 version, and barely discernable in FSX version. Not sure if mesh issue as vehicle traffic will suddenly appear half way along a road, then disappear again, then reappear....you get the idea!!

Any ideas would be appreciated, but it doesn't detract from an excellent add on.

If you are comparing both versions of Real NZ Marlborough, then it may be that your Texture Resolution setting is not high enough in FSX. It should be set to at least 2 metres for the photo scenery.

If you are already using a high enough setting, you may need to tweak your video card settings a bit. There is also the issue which was covered in this thread-- where the roads and railways in photo scenery are not as high resolution as the default.

You will notice that FSX motorway traffic will not flow smoothly no matter were it is. The default traffic behaves the same. This is just the way it works.

from my perspective it looks to be caused by the colour balance in the source imagery- This is evident in a lot of LINZ aerials (and aerial photos in general) where some features are hard to pick out because of the spectral settings used when scanning etc.

In terms of the traffic, yep, that is just how it works- It is clipped to a QMID boundary (I forget which). The NZ Landclass/Environment addon I am working on covers the country in a lot more 'freeway traffic' but also reduces the density of this traffic in most parts of the country so that users can (hopefully) turn up their traffic sliders a bit.
