Robin I am so excited about your imenant release of Wellington, I was there today and cant wait to fly it in FS, just a question tho did you know there is construction being carried out on the international side of the terminal at the moment?

maybe need an upgrade ?
Any way I also gave you a bit of a plug back at
BSMP just to help you along as we have alot of Brits visit us.

Thanks, mate, yes I'm aware of the work, the scenery tends to 'gloss' over this area, as there seemed to be no progress in the 6 weeks between my two visits.
That's pretty much standard, though, I've never done an airport which wasn't undergoing some upgrade at the time, the idea is to get it between major revamps...
Rotorua was the worst -- when I first visited the tarmac was half dug up, but the second time it was finished. I sort of hoped for the same in Wellington, but no such luck.

haha yeh, imagine what it was like for Gary Summons doing Heathrow

btw are you doing Auckland International? I think you said you were going to do it as an update to the Auck scenery.

The plan was to release the first 5 CDs (Wgtn is #4) and then start on Auckland. I was hoping that it wouldn't seem so intimidating after Wellington, and from a provisional visit it's starting to look manageable:)

So, are you going to let the cat out of the bag and make us drool in anticipation, by telling us what you have decided for CD-5 ??? (NZHN, nudge, beg, grovel,)

Chatham Islands
Actually I would like to see ChCh done and also in my opinion Palmerston North has always been under represented in fs9

The top contender at the moment is... Hamilton and Gisborne, closely followed by Napier/Hastings. The difference is that there is aerial imagery available for Napier/Hastiings, but not for the others. If I decide on Hamiltion/Gisborne then they will not include photoreal aerial textures. Gisborne is a personal favourite, for a number of reasons.
I've purposefully kept away from Christchurch, which is silly because that's where I live. There are a couple of different Christchurch sceneries, which means that it is already represented in FS, but it may well be the next release after Auckland Airport.
So many airports, so little time...

i think raglan photo mesh/airport and hamilton airport would be a nice package to go with the aready godzone photoreal that is out there i have never found really anything wrong with your older realeases of p/real scenerys and they all work fine in my pc ...raglan has a very basic airport and town layout but would nice to have the choise to fly down the middle to hams or down the coast to raglan to refuel....
ive had some gisborne photoreal and i cant say i know what the airport looks like so i wont vote there .. my choises in order of need doing ,1.Hamilton anything? 2.Ardmore because there is nothing there in my sim yet..3.Auckland if you feel like a mission,, 4.Raglan nice place to fly too and from ,and i think there are linz photos and some goggle
moneys in the bank for any of these from me
cheers mike
also a room is avalible in hamilton to make things cheaper ...

I reckon over a period of time the Waikato region would be a good release because all the towns are in such close proximity like Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Morrinsville, MataMata, Ngaruawahia, Huntly and Te Kauwhata not to mention Raglan and Kawhia. just my opinion but of course Im not the one developing the scenery but it would make for a stunning release.

Personally, I would put in a plug for NZPM... its where I started to learn to fly... and I kinda miss flying circuits (meh... more like 'lil orbits' when they put a new controller in the tower) around Palmerston North... while dodging ATR's and the occasional jet from Ohakea (yes, it was THAT long ago)...

If it's between Ham or Gisborne then I vote Gisborne. It is a very scenic part of NZ that is out on it's own, alot of people will only get to see it in FS as it's not on the way to anywhere else. It's so rugged around east cape that aircraft that go down often are never found, a bit like Fiordland. The township is picturesque with the rivers and bridges and the port and that piece of coastline around Eastcape is one of the best scenic drives in NZ.
