This is the latest news from the Godzone site.

31 March 2008 -- Getting ready for the 2008/2009 financial year

Although Godzone Virtual Flight is a tiny business, (I know if would surprise a few people to find out that's it's just me...) this coming financial year will need to see a considerable increase in sales for me to keep developing scenery. One result of this is that I'll need to start paying G.S.T., so I've had to come up with a workable plan to implement this. So from the 1st April, there will be a small increase in most prices within the Godzone Store.

Because I'm a retailer at heart, I have always thought in terms of GST-inclusive prices, so instead of having the Online Store add GST as a separate amount, the prices will simply be adjusted to include GST. As a result, since the total price will include a tax not normally payable by overseas customers, I'll reduce the overseas shipping to compensate.

G.S.T. is 12.5%, but in some instances the increase will be less.

Real New Zealand Auckland for FS2004 price reduction

Since I'm well on target to release Auckland City for FSX, the existing FS2004 scenery is on special until then, at $22 ($24.75 from 1st April:)

Although designed for FS2004 this scenery works -- with a patch -- in FSX, so whether you use FS2004 or FSX it is worth purchasing. And in line with prevous releases, the new version may be cheaper for existing owners...

Hi Rob

I can't see anyone complaining about this.
You have a business, the govt want's more of a cut.

I think all will agree we need people like you to increase our simming atmosphere.

So a small increase in price to keep a genuine person like yourself making our experience more real can't be an issue.

Thank you for all your efforts so far, look forward to purchasing more real scenery, especially NZAA for FSX.

Cheers

Hmm, that reminds me. I'll get about $200 tax back at the start of the new financial year (when is that anyway?). Guess what I'll be spending it on?

On another note, how much was that package you did with the entire RealNZ set for FS9? :P

That's $79 -- this is the only product which won't go up in price.
(This will remain as a permanent product within the Store, but maybe not always at that price.)

Really? Only $79 for all your FS9 sceneries? Sounds like a must-have! You'll have an order from me hopefully in a week or two! :P
