Any advances on NZPP Rob ???
Lawrie.
With Air New Zealand announcing a new service out of there due to Welly not playing ball with them I can see a possibility of NZPP and even Martinborough becoming major airports
In a few weeks I plan to release an updated Wellington CD for FSX which will include Paraparaumu. Hopefully I'll be able to release a downloadable version for FS2004 as promised at the same time.

oh wicked
Robin Cant wait
Now what is the story with air NZ maybe flying into Paraparaumu
Is it all hype or is it for real?
It would be so great for here if it does.

From where? I thought I heard they were going to close the airport down and build shops over it?
I also can't wait for this one Robin- I reckon it will generate alot of hype over the Wellington scenery and everyone will start flying there again, rather than Omaka where the entire NZ sim community seems to have moved to recently

Haha too right, if computer software could wear out there'd be grooves axle-deep around Marlborough.
Be great to have an FS9 NZPP to go up the coast with.

It is just AirNZ making noises as they are getting a bit shitty with Infratil and the other NZWN owners who keep abusing their 'monopoly' position and jacking up landing fees etc...
I cannot see them moving to NZPP

My impression was that it was an attempt to make the airport play ball, so I wouldn't hold your breath. Still, stranger things have happened.Trolly wrote:QUOTE(Trolly @ Sep 24 2007, 12:39 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I also can't wait for this one Robin- I reckon it will generate alot of hype over the Wellington scenery and everyone will start flying there again, rather than Omaka where the entire NZ sim community seems to have moved to recently
Paraparaumu won't be up to the same standard as Omaka -- I just don't have the photo resources from the air to model the runways/tarmac etc, so although it'll have custom buildings and a nice AFCAD, that's about it.

WIAL aint gonna back down. Thats what happens when bean counters have the run of the roost at an airport. I could tell you some stories, but then again, I might get in trouble!

Not legal, but also not enough resolution. That's why I normally take my own flight over each airport for high resolution photos. However the weather was too bad when I was in Paraparaumu -- it's no good photographing wet runways, otherwise they become permanently wet in the sim -- not a good look:)
