HELP with new install

Hi Rob. I have had to reload FSX onto another laptop since my old one failed to boot anymore. I then reinstalled Orbx NZNI and all appeared ok.
Next I installed all the photo real Wellington subscription packages and I ran into big problems. It may be a sequence thing as I've got about 4 install files for different areas.
Problems show up with texture issues and I suspect layer problems also. These all installed with no issue on the last laptop!
The following photos illustrate my problems:

Well there it is, any ideas anybody?
Cheers

Hmm, that's weird...
First, I need to point out that the 'transitional' NZWN isn't really compatible with Orbx NZNI, but some people have got it working.
Did you set the FTX Insertion Point using FTX Central so that Orbx loads before any other addon scenery?
You can try to force a re-migration of your unified lclookup in FTX Central, this might help as well.

Hi Rob, I haven't set an insertion point yet as Orbx was the only scenery I had installed. I understand the insertion point tells Orbx to install under local sceneries in the library. Would that affect Godzone scenery also?
I've tried removing entries from the library and the one that causes the problem is GZ9446photo.
Don't know if this helps....

Yes, you'd need to set the insertion point, otherwise every time you run FTX Central it shifts all Orbx scenery to the top of the list.
Did you try forcing a re-migration of the lclookup?

Ah ha, Ok will try the insertion point setting.
How do I do the LCLookup migration. Is this done through FTX Central also?
Hitting the hay now, will update tomorrow night,
Cheers Rob.

This is in the FTX Central Settings; just click on 'force a re-migration of your unified lclookup'.

Hi Rob, I've tried all that but no change in the symptoms

I do notice though that FSX is taking an incredible time to load after each change I make to the library (like 5 mins on an SSD!)
My original install went without a hitch, I can't understand whats gone wrong this time. I did have to reinstall FSX after it had scenery config errors with default scenery, so maybe something was left behind after an uninstall/reinstall.
Anything else I could try?
Cheers,
Paul

Just checking -- did you install all the SPs? I remember a problem with photoscenery which was fixed by one of the S_Ps. Just a thought.

Hi Robin,
That's a good thought! I haven't installed the Acceleration Pack which I think puts a SP on. Every time I tried to install that my registration broke and I only had 30mins to play with

Not sure why! I thought I could live without it seeing as I don't fly missions etc. I did get it to install on my last laptop but I suspect after many uninstalls and reinstalls some residual files may be left in the registry.
That may be it, thanks Robin.
Cheers,
Paul

Nailed it Robin!!!
Turns out no SP was installed. Installed both SP1 and SP2 and wow.... what a difference. Loading has sped up to what I remembered before too. Had to reinstall orbx because the mesh seemed screwed up. I had the south island almost part of the Wellington coastline lol.
A very happy camper
Cheers,
Paul
