I'll post this here in my 'own' forum, rather than elsewhere. As a forum administrator I've been doing some admin work today, as some of you may have noticed.
If you feel that you have been inappropriately 'admined' today, please contact me by pm or email.
However if you are not familiar with the forum rules, I suggest you stop off there first and check that your activities within the forum do not breach them.

To be honest Robin I think you know where the problem is and you have not tackled that problem. It does no credit to this forum to tip toe around avoiding upseting peoples delicate egos. The challenge laid down by a moderator can only heighten that tension.
I work in the IT sector and have had several times come across and been offered less than legal copies of software. If you believe that what has caused this latest eruption is acceptable you are exposing further payware you produce to the one thing we aim to slow down and struggle to justify in accepting.

I think the issue has been handled satisfactorily. I suspect that the reactions of those involved, though, point to another issue entirely. Otherwise it seems a bit of an over-reaction.

Thats a interesting reply Robin. I noticed that the thread concerned the posting by Darkhouse that highlighted the End user Agreement from PMDG has been deleted. Considering that the offending item could have been sent via PM rather than been posted for all to see this could have been avoided.
Surely if you believed that another motive was behind the reactions of those concerned you would have sort to verify who was posting? I would imagine you would object quite loudly if you found your own payware products housed elsewhere for free? With the advent of Vista the likelyhood of piracy diminishing is low.
Forums are a great way of circulating this payware without revealing the true identity of the offenders. Do you believe that Forums should have better control than they allow now?
