Hi
I have the Real New Zealand Wellington which I like very much. only problem is, I have all sorts of planes parked in all sort of places. I don't have any other Wellington scenery except the Real NZ one, and I have no idea if parking was ever correct.
so if someone has an up to date (or close enough) AFCAD for wellington that would work with the Real NZ then I would appreciate if you can share it with me. Alternativiliy, is there a easy to use AFCAD editor for FSX that I can use to fix things up?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards, Ran

You should really use Airport Design Editor to tweak this. Getting it right depends on a lot of things, mainly your AI. It isn't really possible to set up a single facilities file (AFCAD) to put everything in the right place, as it relies on the AI's Airline codes, with a matching parking spot code. And of course putting a code of 'ANZ' into a parking spot doesn't differentiate between aircraft type. When you design an airport, you really have no idea what AI people will be using, so it is quite normal to have to tweak this, or someone might have already made a Facilities file for a specific airport/AI combo.
A simple way is to figure out what AI you have and where it should park, then make sure that both the AI and parking spot have the same Airline code. You can edit either or both. AI codes are in the aircraft.cfg, and parking spot codes are in the Facilities file.
Of course sharing a file like this depends on everyone having the same AI edits, not just the facilities file. Then you have the problem of matching the AI airline codes to all other airports as well. That's why AI packages normally include facilities files based on the default airport. These cause more problems than they are worth. It is easier to make changes to the Real NZ facilities file, however my facilities files can define both the normal AFCAD-type elements and some visual elements, so you can get some funny results if you are not careful.

If you want to have a go at editing the AFCAD and are using the Orbx traffic here are the airline codes. Remember the parking radius also effects what can park where.
