Here's a test install for the updated Hokitika, I'll put it on Avsim provided it works as intended, so please give feedback.

Although this is an updated Godzone scenery, it is also part of Doug's 'West Coast towns'. It will work ok with FTX NZSI, but you will need to set the FTX Insertion Point as recommended in the manual.

There's a dual FSX/Prepar3D v2.x installer, an updated and extended aerial image, and a few minor tweaks to take advantage of the better aerial background.

Although it should work ok as an update to the previous Hokitika, it may be better to just delete the previous VLCGodzoneHokitika folder before installing.

Link removed at I've now uploaded this to Avsim.

The aprons and taxiways show dirt when taxing.

You can fix this by using the apron path in ADE.

Cheers, Eddy, but I've always liked the effect -- Hokitika airport is a bit of a dust-bowl.

This has now been uploaded to Avsim, so I've removed the link to my site.

Dropped the update in tonight, looking excellent Robin. Cheers !!!

Here's a slightly wider angle view on the area rather than the airport, from the coast looking back in over the beach...

Only had time for one brief flight so far but it's brilliant! clapping.gif

For the benefit of anyone who uses FTX Global Vector, I had to disable their elevation correction for Hokitika in the Vector configurator as it was interfering with Rob's scenery.

Thanks, guys. Yes, by sheer luck the Orbx NZSI elevation didn't interfere with Hokitika, but that's not to say that other things might -- so as always, it is worthwhile searching your installation for the airport designation if you get elevation problems.

Thanks for the tip Adrian, - that Configurator is a handy tool with Vector, and thanks Rob of course for providing this for free.

Here's my pic, - probably shouldn't be VFR with Cyclone Lusi bearing down but hopefully nobody saw me... unsure.gif

P3D2, Active Sky Next, REX 3 (Click for hi-res pic). First pic is extremely dense autogen and second is dense.

Thanks Ian, - it was down after I got an OOM a little while ago but it seems to be stable at this setting with average 35fps and good VAS. I've added a pic of the new setting for comparison.
