Hi there Rob,

Can you make a NZAA airport scenery with custom objects and objects from the VLC Libraries to fit with your amazing RealNZ Supercity scenery for FSX?

Thanks.

There are a lot of reasons why I won't be doing NZAA, and I've talked about them here in the past. Orbx have NZAA in development, although it is on hold at the moment.

Although I have done a few small airports based on VLC libraries, these are only really for VLC.

The main reason why I wouldn't do a 'library-enhanced' NZAA (quite aside from the fact that I don't normally do this type of scenery) is that the FSX developers made about 40 'high detail' airports for the default FSX, and NZAA was one of them. So really NZAA was always well-ahead of normal default airports. However anyone is welcome to add any library objects to the default NZAA if they wish.

Orbx were working on an NZAA until the developer got sick about 4 months ago (hope he's on the mend). On their forum they said they'd keep people posted on its progress but they haven't and I got a rather patronising and unhelpful answer when I asked if there was any news. I guess nobody knows whether/when they'll pick it up again, - I imagine they're all very busy trying to get things compatible with P3D2 and new work has probably got put on the back burner.

If NZAA gets the full OrbX treatment it'll be fantastic (especially for us Aucklanders) and I think a lot of people who have OrbX NZNI would buy it. The existing NZAA, although probably impressive at one time, is a bit painful to look at these days, at least mine is. I'd like to see proper air bridges and all that good stuff... smile.gif
