Gents,

For years I have enjoyed the Godzone Real Wellington Scenery, and since release, have been enjoying FTX ORBX NZSI/NI. Obviously, there is no compatibility between the two products (to date), but is there any way (known to anyone here) that I can utilise the Wellington scenery without uninstalling NZNI? I currently have Real Wellington further up the scenery list than NZNI, which has done away with the horrible ORBX Wellington terminal, and allowed me to keep all the other goodies on the Western, but the 2 runways half overlap(ensuring crashes into objects on the runway) , and there are a few suprises along taxiway A (namely, a sink hole around A5, and A1 is now grassy).
NZWN is slowly becoming redundant due to CRASH occurring regularly on the taxi in and out.

If anyone has any knowledge of this issue, please let me know.
If I have to sit tight and wait for the patch, so be it.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to NZFF there are a couple of things that you can try to retain Robins Wellington
Go to your FSX folder to ORBX NZNI FTX_NZNI_05_SCENERY scenery and turn the following two files off.
Rename ADE_FTX_NZNI_NZWN_CVX.BGL to ADE_FTX_NZNI_NZWN_CVX.OFF and ADE_FTX_NZNI_NZWN_Objects.BGL to ADE_FTX_NZNI_NZWN_Objects.OFF
Try that and if you want to go back just change them back to .BGL again I haven't had any problems with Wellington but then I have the crash turned off.

There won't be a patch for Real NZ Wellington, as it isn't really possible to make this compatible with Orbx without a complete rebuild. Having said that, I am working on that rebuild at the moment. It won't be an update, though.

I would never recommend having crash detection turned on at any custom airport, it just isn't accurate enough. As you've discovered, it isn't really 'crash detection', it's more like 'taxied close to a non-existent object' which doesn't really serve any real purpose. Turn it off.

Actually, very surprised no one has mentioned the honkin' great green polygon at the taxiway entrance to Rwy 16. Found out that by deactivating the file: FTX_NZNI_objects_NZWN_groundpoly.bgl (FTX_NZNI_05_Scenery/scenery) it has now disappeared. Just an FYI.

Yes, it is honkin', it's very green, and it is real.
