Just been reading of the Wgtn patch for fsx on the Godzone page.
I'm just wondering what the patch does. I am running all the Real NZ programs in fs9 and fsx and don't see anything that needs patching.

I have all my addon scenery installed in fs9 and fsx is directed to fs9 to find it. It does this flawlessly. Even the 20M mesh and Topo do their job in fsx

You will notice a couple of things with Wellington, and a lot more with the older airports.
However how much you see may depend on your display settings.

This is what the patch fixes:
First, the security fence frames all appear black. So do the barriers on the tarmac. Oh, and the stairs in the main terminal. With earlier sceneries there's a lot more black objects appearing.
There were default airport buildings showing up where they shouldn't.
Default taxiway signs appeared in the wrong places.
Some city buildings were doubled up. The patch removes the MS default Wellington buildings.
The FS2004 airport flatten just doesn't work, so I've redone it for FSX.
The FS2004 helipads didn't work.
The taxiway markings didn't appear, and the runway markings flickered.
There's a FS2004 flatten file included which covers most of the lower North Island, which may cause problems.
And last but probably least the ferry terminal was rotated 90 degrees.
