Thinking about getting "Across The Straight" for use solely in FSX (with Acceleration).

This would be used with the following:
FSX: Accel
Windows XP SP3 (32 bit edition)
Vector Land Class

Is there anything I should know about...good, bad, potential issues to be aware of, etc, etc prior to purchasing?
I am already familiar with the nice quality of a few RealNZ airport sceneries such as Rotorua, Tauranga, and Paraparaumu, so I know that the modeling itself should be fine.
Basically just want a heads up on any potential issues that could crop up with the FSX + VLC combination with this package.
I've noticed a handful of threads recently that seem to highlight some issues, but I'm not sure if those are widespread "official" bugs, if you will, or errors on individual systems.
Frame rate issues? Terrain/altitude issues? etc, etc....

Thanks for the assistance! smile.gif

Sean , most highly recommend , be the most used scenery packages used in multiplays . No frame hits at all and terrain/altitude issues were to many having installed other scenery .

Frame rate issues?[/quote]
Depending on you're specs and settings you run on, the Wellington airport might pose an issue as it can hurt FPS because of its complexity

Yes, performance at Wellington really depends on your system. Other airports give closer to normal performance, so you shouldn't notice any real hit.
Picton is the only airport which needs to be re-elevated for Vector Land Class, there's a beta Picton update available, and I'm hoping to release the final version shortly.

There may be some small issues at Wellington in regards to the rock wall model I think?- If using the free 2m Wellington mesh or the VLC mesh, the rock wall is slightly out of line- Not really a biggy, they just don't fit 100%.

Thanks for all the input. I'm going to hold off a while longer purely from a financial standpoint due to some other events, but I'll definitely purchase at least the package covering the fields on the South Island sometime hopefully in the next couple of months!
