Hey KC , im very sure the airport is not operational at night time , you may want to check your AIP or some one may no , but sure there is no lighting for night ops.

Ian is right. It's a dark hole at night.

Whether or not you can fly around Wanaka at night, I think that kcgb's query was more to do with a 'fix', so this is a good place to mention why you won't find a fix for this.

Every Real NZ scenery is tested in beta, by a number of serious simmers, who normally have it for a few weeks prior to finalisation. Any issues they report are put on a list, and hopefully fixed, although some end up in the 'too hard' basket:) and some miss the release deadline.

Once a scenery is released, development is locked. The only reason why I'd ever release a patch or fix is if Microsoft change the sim and my original scenery no longer works. I really only want one version of any scenery per sim version out there, as I need to offer ongoing support, and it's the only way to make sure that the user is seeing what I'm seeing here when we sort out problems.

Some issues after release relate to the way the sim works -- such as the recent query about aircraft doors closing at Tauranga -- and are not bugs. Some are due to my skillset -- I'm not good at coding, for instance -- and a few are genuine errors. The runway width at Woodbourne is one of these. However because of the extensive testing, these should be few and far between, and won't affect the operation of the scenery. If the testers don't notice a problem, and I don't notice it, then it'll just stay unfixed.

Sometimes an unofficial patch for something may show up here on the forum (normally just in the form of instructions to disable/enable different files), but these never make it into the 'official' release. So why do other developers release tons of patches and fixes? I suspect because they don't get it right the first time:)

On following that , ... you get the people and 'this' happens all over , keep peskring the designer or devolper who give in to the hoards only to be hung and drawn ! , Alpha , Captsim and couple others .. they have superb working models externally , they did not have to release them early for people like me to play around with and admire , but to have critics who have no concept of model build or that fact an art! To many its just simply out of there league , in saying that , many complete projects in a stealthy (healthy) fassion , there is so much out there ... It s not real till it is , so many details ....... its ART .

Edit : Forgot , its a Hobbie ! rolleyes.gif
