Finally sorting it all out but have another question.....How do I get the dialogue box to stay on the screen only for some reason each time I write a text and then send it the box diaappears and then to retreive it I have to stop the flight and click on it to open it back up again,yesterday it was okay...what have I done ?

Using two monitors I have SB showing on the second monitor so it's not an issue, but perhaps, on Squawkbox, click Start / Options / Text tab and put a tick in the "Enable Automatic Window Focus Setting" and select a key to switch (I think it's tab by default).
