I thought I'd share an up-coming VATPAC event with you all. From the latest event email:

**************************************************

Sunday 29th April marks a new Event Concept in VATPAC. "ATC Panic Stations"Â￾. The purpose of ATC Panic Stations is simple, have all traffic arrive in one spot at one time, making life interesting for those controlling the TMA.

The first event will be focused on Brisbane, the challenge for pilots is to get your aircraft to arrive at Brisbane at 2030. How you get there, what aircraft you fly and where you depart from is up to you"¦

What does that mean???

* Pilot A, departs from Sydney in an A320 at 1920 AEST
* Pilot B, departs from Auckland in a B767 at 1630 AEST
* Pilot C, departs from Archerfield in Cessna at 2020 AEST
* Pilot D, departs from Mt Isa in a King Air at 1800 AEST

All 4 planes are scheduled at Brisbane at 2030 AEST...

**************************************************

AEST is UTC +10 so that makes it 10.30pm our time (correct me if I'm wrong please!)

Time sounds right to me, looks like it will be an interesting event (especially given the discussion on the VATNZ forums. :)

I came along to the rolling thunders event not long ago, heaps of traffic but the atc did fine, even asked me if I was on the channel to give a landing clearance as I coudln't get a word in! good service indeed..

Will be interested in some screenshots Mathew :D
