Here's an invitation to join our informal group flight on the evening of 25 June 2023 (Sunday) starting at 7.30pm (NZDT).

We're doing a round trip of the South Wairarapa coast, starting and ending at Hood Aerodrome just outside of Masterton (NZMS)

First, heading south to Papawai (NZPW) near Greytown, then on to Martinborough (NZMT), swinging south-west to near Lake Ferry, before heading south to Cape Palliser.

Then north up the coast, with 'touch and goes' at Te Awaiti, Flat Point (NZFT), Riversdale Beach (really tough) and buzzing the Castlepoint Lighthouse before the final 'touch and go' at Castlepoint airstrip.

Then heading west for the short hop back to Masterton.

Flying will be in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Server is South East Asia.
Time set is 1400 hours (1400 NZT).
Weather is optional.
Aircraft is the Cessna 172.

The flight plan is here.

Using Discord 'Long White Cloud' Server for voice traffic. Please try and have voice available. It makes its easier for everyone to know what's going on.

The Discord invitation, if you don't already belong, is https://discord.gg/zeNSwmQbyx

See you there, Dave (ZKDWF)

Just the discussions on what everyone is doing/flying, tips and tricks, and opinions on add-ons and utilities is worth the price of admission.
Also nice to have some real pilots along, so that I can learn how to really fly - not just be a wannabe computer pilot.

Sunday will be bush flying around Neil's Beach area in South Island. There will be some tough airstrips on offer. Post will be up Monday night.

See you there, Dave
