This weeks Multiplayer flight for FSX has, for the first time, options. Yes, this week you have the choice to fly either a fixed wing aircraft or a Helicopter on two different flights.

Also, to assist spreading the workload for ATC (poor old Alex was all lonely tapping his fingers waiting for traffic to arrive in Rotorua last week while Nik was juggling 13 aircraft at once) we have decided to split departure points. We felt the easist way for this to be done is to split people by wether there current age is an even or odd number. So, if you are 14 Option 1 and 3 are available to you, if you are 15, Option 2 and 3. We feel this is important to ensure the guys offering to do ATC are fully invovled all evening. Either way everyone should have a good evening.

So, please read the following NOTAM details carefully, and then choose your Option for the evening.

Server Password: NZNS (case sensitive)

Option 1 - Even aged pilots

Server Date - 22nd March 2007
Flight Type - Fixed wing point to point, daytime
Start Airport - NZNS - Spawn at gates
End Airport - NZNS - via full stop landing at NZWN and NZPM
Aircraft Type - Single engine aircraft or twin engine prop. You must not select aircraft outside of this range
Shared Cockpits - None scheduled (Feel free to add additional shaded cockpit aircraft)
Weather - Fair weather
ATC Roster - NZNS(Nik) 127.40, NZWN(Alex) 118.80, NZPM(ZK-KAG) 120.60.
Additional Details - NA

Option 2 - Odd aged pilots

Server Date - 22nd March 2007
Flight Type - Fixed wing point to point, daytime
Start Airport - NZPM - Spawn at gates
End Airport - NZPM - via full stop landing at NZNS and NZWN
Aircraft Type - Single engine aircraft or twin engine prop. You must not select aircraft outside of this range
Shared Cockpits None scheduled (Feel free to add additional shaded cockpit aircraft)
Weather - Fair weather
ATC Roster - NZNS(Nik) 127.40, NZWN(Alex) 118.80, NZPM(ZK-KAG) 120.60.
Additional Details - NA

Option 3 - Open to all

Shared Cockpits - At least 1 (Feel free to add additional shaded cockpit aircraft)

Hi Jimmy, just to clarify why circuits are a no no. We set the server up with structure to sort out the chaos we experienced the first time we ran the server. Each time we meet the evening will have a certain flight type, so it could be we have a circuits evening at some stage. If we start allowing people to do 'other' things in the server then it will descend into chaos once again, and we dont want that.

I'll be flying an aircraft with shared cockpit so you are welcome to join me if you wish, or as you say, fly one leg.

Cheers.

Hi Team.....here's the list

NZNS (Nik - ZK-TJL)
Tower 127.40 MHz
ATIS 129.10 MHz
Nelson VOR/DME (NS) 116.40 MHz

NZPM (Keagan - ZK-KAG)
Tower 120.60 MHz
ATIS 129.70 MHz
Palmerston North VOR/DME (PM) 113.40 MHz
Ohakea VOR/DME (OH) 109.00 MHz

NZWN (TBC)
Tower 118.80 MHz
ATIS 126.90 MHz
Wellington VOR/DME (WN) 112.30 MHz
Runway 16 ILS (IEB) 110.30. Heading 161
Runway 34L ILS (IMP) 109.90. Heading 341

Other NAV aids that you may need to know
Paraparaumu DME (PP) 117.30 MHz
Paraparaumu NDB (PP) 242.0 KHz

Tory VOR/DME (TR) 114.60 MHz

Woodbourne VOR/DME (WB) 115.60 MHz

Interpilot communications
Pilot intercomm 'Alpha' 130.00
Pilot intercomm 'Bravo' 131.00

As you all know.....the atis only tends to work at the airport at which you spawn. We'll try keep the ATIS info up to date in the chat box.......but it's tricky.
:) .

This is just a short list of freqs......I have left out many of the NDB's etc.

Hi Team

Just a quick note to welcome Keagan (ZK-KAG) to the ATC team. He'll be operating NZPM......have a good call boss :) .

At the moment we are short of a controller to do NZWN. If you are interested in filling this spot text me on 021 114 8544 or PM me (prefer text).

If no one puts their hand up for this spot then NZWN will use a traffic freq (same as tower 118.80MHz).

or

If its not too busy I'll try seperate traffic around Wellington on Nelson tower freq 127.40MHz. Watch the chat box!!!

I'v aranged to do shared cockpit with Jon this evening, should be good if my sim behaves itself.

Nik, have you considerd doing something like a NZCH_CTR or a NZZC_CTR that covers all airports with out other control like on ivao, just some sort of center frequency? That might be easier than trying to fill so many atc spots.

See ya there
James :plane:

Yes....as I mentioned I may control Wellington traffic from NZNS.....don't need another controller that way to act as NZ center. If we do get another ATC, he'll be placed at NZWN. In the future when we operate flights that have greater seperation between airports we will use a NZ center (or if its mad busy!!!). :D . Tonight shouldn't be too busy...but ya never know!!! :D

The age seperation will 'share' out the pilots to different spawning airports, this will help pilots get away on time and keep one airport from being swamped. (like last week when I messed up and handed off 10 aircraft to Tim on own NAV) >nzflag<

Have fun with your shared cockpit flight......avoid the procedures button on the GPS(when flying joint cockpit)....tends to crash the computer.....and if Jons computer crashes.......the server will to. You and Jon are flying the Helio option (option 3) this evening, correct?

okay thanks for that, well fly with just the vor/adf for navigation, iv found the gps and defualt flight planner don't operate well with the shared cockpit anyway.

Were flying option two out of NZPM ;) (I wouldn't dare fly a choper online, with so many possible spectators watching on!...not that I can't fly helicopers.. but, ya know what I mean :P )

ATTENTION ALL PILOTS FLYING TONIGHT
DO NOT ENTER OR SEARCH FOR NEW PLYMOUTH ON YOUR GPS
If you do, your PC will freeze and FSX will crash
Avoid using the GPS tonight if you can to be safe, but if you need to use it, don't program in NZNP
