Would someone like to tell me how to get a user name and password to fly in FSInn?
Thanks
Jack

To fly with FSInn on the VATSIM network, you need to register at www.vatsim.net, for other networks I'm not so sure. ;)

I'm trying to get on Inspire.net.nz.

Vatsim is OK. I can get on there.

Inspire.net.nz is different to VATSIM completely. Have a look at these guides on this site:

Basic multiplayer guide by Trolly (this one is the inspire one basically)

Hi there Jack.

Perhaps you are trying to connect to the Inspire server using FSX? Please let us know what version of FS you are using as it will help us to help you.

If you are using FSX, you need the FSHost FSX client.

I think that you can actually use FSInn to connect FSX to the FSHost servers but seeing as you don't have to I don't see why bother.

I would suggest perhaps if you do have FSX that you look at the FSX Multiplayer meets topic It seems to me that meeting up that way makes the most of what FSX has to offer :)

Matt

I am trying to connect with fs9.
I am useing the server address you give for MS multiplay, but a name and password is required with fsinn.
I hate copilot and always use fsinn.

I also have fsx installed, but at present I do not have multiplay installed on it.

Gidday again,

If you are connecting to the Inspire server all you need to do is connect via the multiplayer option in FS, you don't use FSInn or any other client at all.

The reason you need passwords with FSInn is that it is trying to connect you with Vatsim, which is not what you are intending to do.

Don't fire up FSInn, simply start FS, and follow the instructions

here.

Perhaps check http://203.114.130.15:81/ first to see if anyone's on :)

Yes I realise that Mat. But I prefer to go through fsinn to get the benefit of Radar.

I am on TS now if you would like a word.

Hi mate, sorry just read your post, we went to the harbour with the kids to have KFC ... along with 100's of other families lol.

I use FSNAV for navigation and radar to see where other planes are, and whilst I dabbled in FSInn I am more familiar with Squawkbox. I'm afraid that I cannot suggest how to get it working on standard multiplayer, but if time permits I will have a look through some websites tonight.

Sorry to be a dampener, but there's no way to connect FSINN to FSHost/Inspire servers, due to FSINN requiring a username and password to be entered :(

For that to work u would have to have an active user account on the Inspire FSHost server, so I suggest asking Alex Mclean / Matt Stubbins as they know more about the Inspire servers than i do.

The Inspire server is not passworded, anyone can join it. FSInn was developed for Vatsim as a network connection, voice and multiplayer traffic library. As such it would seem that it's not designed to work with standard Inspire multiplayer server.

Sorry Jack perhaps sort something else out as a TCAS.
