Sunday Night Ops
Mountains to Mudpools
Sunday 20th February 2011 1900-2300 NZDT / 1700-2100 AEDT / 0600-1000 UTC

The mountains and the mudpools are two of New Zealand's great natural features. This week's SNO takes us on a journey between the nation's two most popular tourist centres, Queenstown (NZQN) and Rotorua (NZRO).

Flight time will vary depending on aircraft type. As a guide a B737 would take just over an hour and a high performance turboprop would take around 2 hours.

These routes are typically suited to B737 aircraft and turboprops but if you have another aircraft you want to bring, feel free to bring it along.

Late-comers/shorter alternative: Late-comers or people looking for a shorter flight should consider flying between Wellington and Rotorua.

Flight Routes

Queenstown to Rotorua
  • QNRO2 - SH H438 TM H247 RO

Rotorua to Queenstown
  • ROQN1 - RO H247 TM H438 SH
