l would also be keen on option 1 for ifr shared cockpit + atc etc

Sheared cockpit a lotta fun especially when you have a current real McCoy whined the window down and put his/her arm out for a left hand turn onto the runway .... or right ... then I get the cold shoulder biggrin.gif

Well....

..after posting the FS Host Server IP Address... http://fsmpa.hopto.org/ ....in this thread...

I spent the whole day, Monday, until midnight, connected to the Server, flying around Central California, waiting for someone to pop-up...anyone....

One Chap from somewhere popped up in the list, for a minute or so, and then disappeared again...

Generally, there seems to be little interest in FS Multiplayer nowadays, compared to FS 2002/FS 2004 in the Olden Days!... sad.gif ...!

Its all a matter of luck if someone decides to pop in during a session!

Interestingly....I remained connected to the Server all day, with no problems whatsoever.....no "disconnection", etc!

Paul.... biggrin.gif ...!

@Kamoflarj,

It looks like the PMDG 737 only supports shared cockpit through third party addons, such as the below, but I believe it is possible:
http://www.desk-pilot.com/#

I also don't have the PMDG 737, but if you have alternate aircraft ideas, let us know. I personally would love to try out Carenado's B200 King Air in shared cockpit mode.

@Paul/Fozzer/Cessna 150 guru,

I'll take note of that server for our future flights. Additionally, I'll see about coordinating two flights, one to occur Friday evening my time, which is midday the next day in NZ, and another midday Saturday my time, which is evening in Europe on the same day.

EDIT:
Adding to the above, keep the discussion going. Aiming for maybe a mid or end of September event if possible, but we'll have to work out all of the logistics.

Now Sean has regenerated some MP interest, a few aircraft do work well in shared cockpit , the Captain Sims C-130 was one as with the Boeing 727 , sure the smaller stablemate 737 should also work well tho have not tried it .

That being said I think the DC3 is a great choice really. Ian says its the 'standard' fsx model, meaning everything goes back to the DC3 if s**t hits the fan

Well, maybe I'll have another go at getting it in here [P3Dv2] but of course it is not a native model.
Not so much into the shared cockpit / IFR, tbh.
I'll see what the next MP session looks like and go from there.

Yeah, tried to get in on that action. Had a brief chat on TS, but P3D doesn't like FSX directly.
Will be keen to try the FShost though ... have my sister and two nieces over from the UK for a month starting next Tuesday, so won't be able to give too much time to simming over that time period.
