Mount Cook
Sunday 06th March 2011 1900-2300 NZDT / 1700-2100 AEDT / 0600-1000 UTC

This week's SNO takes us flying between Christchurch (NZCH) and Mount Cook (NZMC). Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest peak at 12,316ft (3754m) and the surrounding area provides some difficult terrain to navigate around.
The airfield is situated 20km south of the peak of Mount Cook and adjacent to the Tasman River at an elevation of 2153ft.
Each leg will take around 30 minutes so there is time for multiple legs to be flown during the event. The routes are typically suited to turboprop aircraft or smaller but if you feel like flying something else during the event then feel free to bring it along.
