Vatsim weather and Squawkbox/ASE

For everything about online flying around New Zealand

I fly regularly online with FSX and squawkbox on Vatsim. As SB does not support weather in FSX i have tried a few add ons to try and get accurate Vatsim weather. I have used ASX which works ok although even with use vatsim checked it only gets weather for AA, WN, CH and interpolates the rest. For the majority of the time it is not too bad. When ASA and then ASE came along i tried them but have had very little luck with both giving good weather results when it interpolates the missing airfields. FSINN has a great weather engine that works well with Vatsim but it creates chaos on my system so i have stuck with SB.

I am thinking of trying FSMeteo as that says it can use vatsim weather so i am hoping it will use all the NZ weather stations used by Vatsim.

Has anyone used FSMeteo with FSX and if so what were our thoughts.

Cheers.

Kiwi
Have a look for a program called FSMetar, it is freeware and downloads all Vatsim WX. I had it running over wideserver and seemed to load into FSX ok.

Cheers
