Still getting a handle on this,did a good flight to NZWN last night but am havig a slight technical hitch................I load up as normal but for some reason the dialogue box (text ) box appears twice. One is the little box you use when useing the ms multiplayer method and the other is SB itself. Probably got everyone confused..............
So when i type say "cleared for takeoff" it appears twice on my little sqwaukbox?!

Squawkbox shouldn't show at all in a standard FS Multiplayer session unless you click on Modules / Squawkbox, which you don't need to do. You use either one or the other, not both at the same time, although that is possible.

Are you sure you actually mean the Vatsim 'Squawkbox' or are you talking about the standard Multiplayer chat window? I just tried and couldn't get any text to appear in both at the same time...

I get what you have shown so is that right? I connect through Vatsim and end up with both the as you show. Why do you have 2 x matt: test in the chat box,is that right ?
Is it best to connect through ms multi player or through SB direct ?

I have 'test' there a few times as I was testing whether it typed words show up in Squawkbox when I typed in the chat box and vice versa...

Anyhow.

Are you connecting to the Inspire Multiplayer server - 203.114.130.15 ? We use that server for Aeroclub flying adventures.

If you are there is no need for Squawkbox at all. Don't start it up mate, Squawkbox is ONLY for Vatsim. Simply go through the procedure shown in the How to Fly Online with the AeroClub thread.

If you are indeed wanting to connect to Vatsim, then you don't connect anything in FS to multiplayer, Squawkbox does it all, and you have online ATC etc.

thanks for that I am slowly getting my head around it,the only odd thing I have at the moment is that when I file a plan iend up with a Z on the end of the departure and destination fields i.e NZAA APPEARS AS NZAAZ ?
