Great little history movie and tribute smile.gif the Berlin airlift was quite a feat , one sortie a DC3 carried the Yorks payload of coal ... 3 plus tons over the Daks MTOW . Did a team not make a retro Tempelhof airport scenery , it would be an excellent addition to your future video's , FSBerlin ?

Very nice movie!! Interestingly I just finished reading a book by Jon Sutherland & Diane Canwell called The Berlin Airlift: The Salvation of a City. and as Ian says the airlift was quite a feat indeed....Apart from the York's & Dakota's the C-54 Skymaster's on the US side of things also deserve an honourable mention....the role the airlift plays in the history of Germany and all of Europe for that matter is a mamouth one. It arguably kept the Soviets out of Western Europe, one thing is for certain, had it failed it would have been a totally different ball game! . Many people today can thank those pilots of 1948-49 for the freedom they take for granted. I certainly tip my hat to them! smile.gif
