Still rapt with my Bell 206 soundset, I thought I'd have a go at some display routines.
RealNZ Wanaka is a perfect venue for this.
16th April 2006, then, airshow date.
Just a little harmless chopper fun

The quality is truly awful, but I am modestly pleased with the landing B-)

Very nice, I've been flying around the cloudy Wanaka scenery myself today.

What 206 is that, Owen Hewitt's? I've never been able to control helos as well as you demonstrated, the spins you recovered from would have been certain crashes for me- what sort of settings have you got your joystick configured to for that kind of flying?

Do you have to set it to '06 to get the airshow?

How does that work anyway, Robin? Set it to that date, and the airshow pops up. Amazing :)

Yes that's the Hewitt 206, great model.
All my settings are maxxed in the sim, which just means every slider is on the right.
I'm using the same joystick as your avatar, and have wrapped a couple of paperclips around the spring for rotary-wing flight.
This means the stick goes exactly where you place it, no centring force.
I find this makes it less arduous to hoon around in a helo :D

And yes, Robin cleverly made the airshow come and go, according to date.
Unfortunately you cannot do the same with the AI.
