I flew AA to WN today on Vatsim, real world weather, Chris Jones flew the same trip with me. I recorded my landing at Welly, and have put together some footage, put to 'Save a Prayer' by Duran Duran ... I was pleased how I landed apart from the final thump as I hit the tarmac!

I now await the cries of "It's not always like that you know" from the Wellingtonian members of this forum.

Luvly Matt
Two blown tyres ain't bad for a normal day at NZWN !
Or was that the same tyre on the hop?
Nice feel to the opening fast flythrough too I thought, good technique I'll steal it for my next one....

MD500 helo with no cockpit view, sped up x 4 for the video..... The other hover shots were the MD500 too, bloody nice, quick, stable chopper to fly.

Brilliant Video! What mesh are you using for the NZWN scenery?

Thanks for the comments :)

The mesh is 20m with Real NZ Wellington. Plane is the FFX 733 with the Ultimate Boeing Panel. Weather by Active SKy, initial recording/playback by FS Recorder module and final recording by Fraps. Chase helicopter footage was in a MD500. Editing by Sony Vegas and raw footage re-encoded with Auto Gordian Knot.

..and that's all I think

Nice  . I use Vegas myself, great flexibility. I hadnt heard of Gordian Knot before, going to grab it and take a peek, youve inspired me to try my hand at vids now.
