I'd rather have a real plane at that cost! $300,000 would buy a late model, tidy Cessna etc

A homebrew version of the $60 million simulators used to train pilots, Sheil's contraption is almost identical to the cockpit of a 747-400.

Thanks to 45 different software programs running on 14 different computers, the simulator allows Sheil to fly to and from 27,000 different airports around the world with breathtaking realism.[/quote]
[√] 747-400
[√] 27,000 airports - including e.g. Kerikeri, Queenstown, NZFF, Castlegar, Lake Hood Seaplane Base .....

One of these things is not like the other ones laugh.gif

Very nice sim, but I'd have spent the money on a 737 cockpit rather than a 747 - almost as automated for when you're feeling lazy, and much more flexible and where you can realistically go. Well no actually I wouldn't, on the used cars section of the Aston Martin NZ site at the moment there's a black 2008 V8 Vantage for $245k ... I think a cockpit sim could wait cool.gif
