Posted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 1:42 amI would also vouch for that chioce above ,but there alot of freeware texture sets out there plz have a look at avsim and flightsim dot com .. there are so many ,its a your chioce type of thing because one colour mite not suit ..
Posted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 2:36 amI can also vouch for the Zinertek water, if you can afford to spend the money, it's a top contender for a must have FS9 addon. I've tried a lot of freeware water textures before I went for the payware one, none of the freewares did it for me. Too many looked like there was a thick sheet of plastic over top/too glossy or some didn't make enough difference.
Personally, the 14 euro/$35 NZD is money WELL spent. I was so impressed with their water, when I saw they had just released a weather/environment upgrade I didn't have to think twice about it, NOTHING else I have tried comes close to how great their addons are.

Posted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 8:33 amReal Environment Professional at avsim isn't too bad if you want something for free. Searching "water" at avsim, and sorting by downloads brings up some other good freeware choices.
